Originally brought to Universal Creative for the Universal Studios Japan project during Schematic Design as Set Designer for Snoopy Studios, was promoted to Show Art Director to further develop and oversee completion of 3 media-driven show attractions: Motion Picture Magic, Monster Make-Up and TV Production Tour, plus an exhibit of actual movie sets in Stage 22. Scope of responsibility included interiors, scenery, props, special effects, show action equipment, lighting, audio, video and wardobe.

After the park opened, was retained by Universal Creative to develop the next featured attraction for Stage 22, The Mummy. In its second year of operation, hired by Universal Japan Company Ltd. to return to Japan as Creative Director for a Halloween maze event, Studio Tour Of Horrors, in the TV Production Tour attraction.

Worked again in Japan, this time in Tokyo for thinkwell as Field Art Director / Set Decorator for the Jurassic Park Institute Tour. This 50,000 square foot event, which won the Thea Award for Travelling Exhibit, featured animatronic dinosaurs in various scenes themed as Ingen laboratory facilities.

Brought to Orlando by Universal Creative Studio during the concept phase for Universal Studios Shanghai feasibility study as Creative Director to develop a story concept and design for an attraction involving flame and water effects.

Joined BRC Imagination Arts as Creative Director for Battle Stations 21, a $ 78M immersive environment shipboard training facility for the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL. It involves a scaled version of a guided missile destroyer at a pier which goes “underway” on a mission and comes under attack. Effects include flooding and fire in compartments, mass casualty rescue and pier environment which changes to different ports.

Served as Vice President of Design for Fort Worth Musuem of Science and History as they developed the design of a new $75M museum. Built a design team, which they lacked, and equipped them with the language and technology necessary to design new state-of-the-art exhibits. Represented the museum to its primary vendor, Bob Weis Design Island, and to the architects of the new museum Legoretta+Legoretta to insure proper integration of new exhibits.

Recruited as Director of Experience Design for The Franklin Institute, where I oversaw a department of Exhibit Developers, Exhibit Designers, Graphic Designers and Prototype Developers. Produced Ben Franklin Forever, a multimedia show installation in The Benjamin Franklin National Memorial in conjuction with GToo Media. Directed the development and design of two ongoing exhibits: Changing Earth and Electricity, and Your Brain in a new building expansion in 2014.

Currently with Universal Creative, Art Directed Concept Design for Harry Potter & The Escape From Gringott’s at Universal Studios Florida, and the entire project Wizarding World of Harry Potter for Universal Studios Japan as well as Race Through New York With Jimmy Fallon and Fast & Furious: Supercharged at Universal Studios Florida. Currently serving as Senior Director of Creative Design for all attractions at Universal Studios Japan, including Super Nintendo World.
